How much does it cost to hire a physician from Agila?
The prices for hiring physicians vary depending on his or her level of education/training, the geographic location of your operation and the type of specialisation required. Get in touch with us so we can give you a set contract proposal.
Are you a procurement agency?
Agila is a procurement agency and has framework agreements for
physician staffing in most of Sweden's 21 counties. In addition to these framework agreements, we have a large number of agreements with private healthcare providers throughout the country.
Within which specialist areas do you contract out locum physicians?
We continually contract out in all specialist fields and also with licensed doctors and resident doctors. Read more about

How do you check the quality of the physicians who work for you?
Before each assignment, we conduct at least two personal interviews with the physicians in question. In addition, we check his or her record with the Board of Social Services and any comments from the Swedish Healthcare Inspection Board (IVO), as well as accept copies of his or her physician's licence and approved personal ID documentation. We always contact at least three relevant references who undergo a thorough interview. The checks with the Board of Social Services and IVO are conducted on an ongoing basis during the employment period.
Do you contract out physician throughout Sweden and Norway?
Yes! We contract out doctors throughout Sweden and Norway, from Hammerfest in the north to Trelleborg in the south. Read more about our

We have an operation not located in either Sweden or Norway. Can we still hire a locum physician from you?
Yes! We often provide staffing services in the other Scandinavian countries and many of our doctors are interested in finding positions outside of the Nordic region. Contact us and we will tell you more about how enterprises outside of Sweden and Norway can contract locum physicians from us!

How long has Agila been in business?
Agila launched its business in 2008 under the name Vårdassistans and changed the name to Agila in 2016. The aim of the business has been the same from the outset,
healthcare staffing.
Why did you change your name from Vårdassistans to Agila?
One of the reasons why we changed the name is that we could expand geographically under the same company name, such as for example, staffing in Norway. Besides, the name Agila is easier to pronounce and is associated with words like flexible, adaptable and responsive, which are in line with our values.
